About I-way

I-way is a growing statewide system that connects people in Idaho through an exciting mix of transportation options, giving Idaho an economic and quality-of-life advantage, while helping keep our state clean and beautiful.

Championed by a grass-roots coalition of local citizens, and supported by the Community Transportation Association of Idaho (CTAI), I-way is about providing people in Idaho the freedom to choose from a variety of connected, convenient, and cost-effective transportation options - including park and rides, car and van pools, bike and walking paths, shuttles, and improved public transportation options. I-way represents a revolutionary shift in the design and management of mobility options in Idaho. To meet changing future needs, this new vision focuses on people, rather than transportation modes; reorganizes the way mobility strategies are developed and ushers in a new era fueled by local leadership.

I-way's efforts begin at the local level and work through the local mobility networks and district level to ultimately the state level. Strategies identified through I-way's local coordination process help improve access to employment, medical appointments, recreational activities, and education.

Local mobility partnerships are actively engaged in delivering services that create connections statewide. I-way mobility partners are committed to improving and supporting coordination, processes, and leveraging resources with the ultimate vision of improving the experience of relevant mobility for each customer.
