Championed by a grass-roots coalition of local citizens, and coordinated by the Community Transportation Association of Idaho (CTAI), I-way is provides Idahoans the freedom to choose from a variety of connected, convenient, and cost-effective transportation options – including park and ride, car pools, bike and walking paths, shuttles, and improved public transportation options. I-way represents a revolutionary shift in the design and management of mobility in Idaho. To meet changing future needs, this new vision focuses on connecting people with optional routes leading to their destinations and by reorganizing the way mobility strategies are developed we are ushering in a new era fueled by local leadership.
I-way’s efforts begin at the local and district level, but can ultimately network citizens all across the state. Strategies identified through I-way’s local coordination process help improve access to employment, medical appointments, recreational activities, and education. Local partnerships provide opportunities to create connections statewide.
