Hi! I’m Vanessa Crossgrove Fry, the new District 4 Mobility Manager. If you live in District 4 (Blaine, Camas, Lincoln, Twin Falls, Jerome, Gooding, Cassia, and Minidoka counties), I hope to be seeing a lot of you and hearing your thoughts and insights regarding mobility and transportation options in our communities.
I’m extremely excited to be serving the citizens of District 4 full-time. For the last six months, I have been acting as the part-time mobility coordinator – working to improve mobility options through the I-way process. My new, full-time role will allow me to increase the amount of time and energy I spend working to help all of us have better access to jobs and recreation, increase the connectivity between our communities and enhance our economic growth.
Meeting the public transportation needs of residents and visitors to our region will require effective coordination of transit providers and other community service organizations and services. I look forward to helping coordinate and build partnerships
Transportation, mobility, smart planning, outdoor recreation, and the environment are all very close to my heart. Prior to joining CTAI as the District 4 Mobility Manager, I served as the Executive Director for Citizens for Smart Growth (CSG) in Blaine County, Idaho. I also have extensive experience in nonprofit, government relations and stakeholder engagement as a result of my time at the Snake River Alliance and the Environmental Resource Center.
There are a number of challenges and opportunities facing us, and together we can make significant change. I encourage you to get involved in our local planning and coordination process (check the calendar for scheduled meetings and events) and become familiar with our local mobility plan. I am available to answer questions, bounce ideas, and talk with your organization about I-way and what is happening locally. I will be traveling throughout the district in order to better understand the issues facing each community.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve you! My official start date is August 2. I look forward to working to bring better transportation and mobility options to our citizens and visitors!
