Brooke Green, District 3 Mobility Manager

Wednesday, August 04, 2010

Hello, I’d like to take a quick moment and introduce myself. My name is Brooke Green, and I am excited to be joining CTAI as the District 3 Mobility Manager (serving Canyon, Ada, Gem, Elmore, Owyhee, Washington, Payette, Idaho, Valley, Boise, and Adams Counties). I began my career working within the non-profit community most notably in marketing, public relations and community outreach. I have spent a large portion of my career working with local community leaders/businesses and stakeholders in improving quality of life for girls within a local non-profit. As I have transitioned within my field I realized that my passion to work for vulnerable populations continued to steer my career path. I have always gravitated toward volunteerism and non-profits and my internal passion for disability awareness took me to working within the transportation community, in my previous position as the Project Director for the AmeriCorps Accessible Transportation Grant within the State Independent Living Council.

Recognizing the barriers that keep many Idahoans from appreciating all that Idaho has to offer has steered my desire to work with CTAI. I am excited to be working with the citizens of District 3 and look forward to the opportunity to continue advocating for improved transportation that will ensure the independent lifestyle that all Idahoans deserve.

My educational background includes BA in Communication and BAS in Marketing Management from Boise State University. Currently working towards an MBA from Northwest Nazarene University, I have dabbled in mediation and conflict resolution. I am active in community organizations including Leadership Boise (2009-2011) and Boise Young Professionals, and I was honored to be recognized as one of the Idaho Business Review’s 40 under 40, class of 2010. I am an outdoor enthusiast an avid golfer, snowboarder and runner.

My husband Jeremy Byington and our two dogs I are lucky to live in a vibrant city like Boise and I look forward to contributing to the continued growth of our community and Idaho.
