Being able to walk, whether for exercise, or as your preferred method of travel, is key to quality-of-life. Together, local citizens and I-way partners are working to improve sidewalks and walking paths across the state to make walking safer and more convenient.
There are a number of resources available to help you choose your best walking option, including:
Google Maps
Google has added walking as a choice in their Directions Tool.
Visit Idaho
The official tourism website for Idaho includes information on many off-roadway pathways and recreational hiking options.
Local Community Groups
Local community pedestrian and bicycle maps maybe be available by request in some of our communities through local cycling/walking associations and advisory groups.
